I Am Not A Robot
I love baby pink lipstick with stripes. Marina looks hot! Stripes, for me are a real wardrobe staple. Blue & white stripes give that nautical sailor chic edge, but bold black and white stripes are soooo 60s. I love.
Rock on! Festival Style
I recently read in a magazine that it is now ok to mix your florals (that kind of advice is dangerous for someone who is a florals addict and could lead to some serious faux pas fashion)-- soo. I thought why not mix animal prints, with floral palazzo pants, tassels and lace. I think it works! I will definately be rocking some flared 70s style trousers for those festival days where I'm a bit hairy mary or if the dry shave hasn't worked out so well (it happens). For me, big festival trends are: Feathers, tassels, cut-off shorts, crop tops, flower headbands and gladiator sandals. I plan on cutting a pair of old jeans, buying some tassel material and customising. Tassels = instant desert chic!
Leather and Lace
Lace and crochet is bang on trend this season. But LAce is the kind of look that never really goes out of fashion in my opinion. A Black LAce dress should be a staple wardrobe piece. I'd really like to buy a white one but I am so jinxed with white clothing - always get food on it ^_^ I am really loving the whole crochet fitted dresses with the tassels hanging off - reminds me of 'The Bangles' - late 80s/early 90s hippy americana look
Colour Blocking
I wish I had more colour in my wardrobe - winter has made me invest in play it safe pieces, blacks, florals, navys.... IT is way more versatile and instantly refreshes your look- and catches everyones eye. Thats why I LOVE summer - you can be so much more bolder and creative with colour. My craving at the moment esp is for a mermaid-esque purple dress with green goddess shoes- teamed with bouffant hair. I am also a little obsessed with crimpers atm.... a bit 80s you may think.. but it's a great way to experiment if you have poker straight hair and want to add a little pizzaz*
